According to HPD, Haley, right, was most likely in Harrisonburg seeking employment and housing. 

The Harrisonburg Police Department is searching for a man who was reported missing May 17, according to a press release from HPD.

Joseph Haley Jr., 34, was last seen around Mason Street and East Gray Street on May 10. HPD has described Haley as a black male who’s approximately 6 feet tall and weighs about 240 pounds.

Investigators discovered that Haley has ties to the Waynesboro area and was most likely in Harrisonburg seeking employment and housing. HPD said Haley is known to suffer from mental illness and isn’t likely to have his medications on hand. 

HPD urges any individual with information regarding Haley to contact its Major Crimes Unit.
