Officers with the Harrisonburg Police Department responded to a hit-and-run on the 700 block of Vine Street just before midnight yesterday.
According to a press release from the city of Harrisonburg, a 56-year-old male was struck from behind by a vehicle while traveling north on the 700 block of Vine Street by bicycle.
The individual was treated by emergency medical services at the scene and was later treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
