The city of Harrisonburg is looking for locals 18 years or older to apply for a volunteer position at City Hall that applicants would be interested in holding for at least one year.
Those selected will run the City Hall information desk during business hours and will be expected to greet and direct visitors as they enter the facility. Additionally, volunteers will answer incoming and direct incoming calls.
Volunteers will be required to attend training in an attempt to give those selected a better understanding of all city departments and constitutional offices. The training is expected to take approximately three hours. Volunteers will be expected to work four and a half hour shifts at least once per week.
