JMU’s coronavirus cases have increased from 1,003 to 1,065 from Monday to Tuesday. 

The cumulative positive coronavirus cases in Harrisonburg has hit a record high today of 1,936, according to The Breeze’s COVID-19 dashboard. Between Monday and Tuesday there have been 143 new cases, which beats the previous high of 93 new cases in one day. 

JMU’s cumulative cases have increased from 1,003 to 1,065 from Monday to Tuesday with 388 students having recovered. According to The Breeze’s dashboard, the new case number accounts for 4.83% of the student body. 

Additionally, there are now 109 isolation beds in use and 34 beds available. This is a jump from Monday's data of 69 available beds.
