Thursday morning at approximately 8 a.m., a Chevrolet Lumina, driven by Jonathon Phillip Hill of Rockingham, was seen traveling westbound at a “high rate of speed” in the 1000 block of Greendale Road, according to a press release from the Harrisonburg Police Department.
The vehicle left the roadway and entered the front yard of 1020 Greendale Rd., according to the release. The suspect’s vehicle rear-ended another car at a high speed, and both cars struck two HPD vehicles. Debris from the prior collisions struck a fourth car.
According to the release, Hill sustained minor injuries, and no one else was hurt. All vehicles involved had to be towed from the scene.
Hill was charged with property damage to three vehicles, DUID and improper registration.
