Harrisonburg City is partnering with the Department of Recreation to increase the number of part-time employees by hosting a job fair on Feb. 25 from 3-8 p.m.

According to a news release, the fair will be held at the Lucy Simms Center. The city is looking to hire multiple seasonal positions for Parks and Rec and a few for Public Works.

Applicants can apply on-site at the fair and are encouraged by Harrisonburg City to speak directly with potential employers. Some of the positions available include maintenance and recreation aides.

“We wouldn’t be able to offer all the services we do to our residents if it wasn’t for the incredible team of part-time staff who do so much for our community each season,” Harrisonburg Director of Communications Michael Parks said in the news release.
