Food.Bar.Food and Clementine are among many Harrisonburg venues offering ways to celebrate Valentine's Day.

With Valentine’s Day coming soon, the air in Harrisonburg is bursting with passion. That being said, disappointing a significant other could be a mistake that one can’t recover from. Luckily, there are numerous Valentine's themed events in the community that could make one’s celebration memorable.

Romance Languages Three-Course Culinary Adventure Valentine’s Day Dinner at Food.Bar.Food

Time: 5 p.m.

Food.Bar.Food is pulling out all the stops this Valentine's Day. This three-course dinner offers a choice between Italian, French and Romanian cuisine. Some courses include spaghetti puttanesca made with house-made pasta, red wine chicken with roasted vegetables and a french baguette and pulled pork with beer sauce and herb roasted baby carrots.

Cupid Crawl at the Art Council of the Valley

Time: 5-9 p.m.

The Cupid Crawl returns this year at the Art Council of the Valley. This event offers a “fun and fancy Valentine’s Day treat for that special someone.” Led by local artist Laura Thompson, ticket holders will be treated to a guided tour of various hotspots in Harrisonburg like the AVC Smith House Galleries, Larkin Arts, The Hub and Pale Fire Brewery. At each stop, patrons will receive food and drink while being educated by local artists and getting an inside scoop on upcoming art projects.

’90s Valentine’s Day Dance Party at Clementine Cafe and Ruby’s Arcade

Dinner: 4-9 p.m.

Trivia: 9-11 p.m.

Dance Party 10 p.m.-1:30 a.m.

If you’re looking for a more active activity, then this event may be for you. Hosted by DJ Barkley, Ruby’s will be playing ’90s music all night long. Before the party, Clementine will also have some V-day trivia to spice up the night. This party is one of the more affordable options available downtown as well, having a three dollar admission charge. Those who arrive early can enjoy a special dinner to celebrate this special day.

Valentine’s Day Dinner by Candlelight at Rocktown Kitchen

Time: 5-11 p.m.

Rocktown Kitchen is hosting an intimate dinner by candlelight this Thursday. This establishment will be offering cocktails over a romantic smooth jazz atmosphere. Guests can enjoy dishes like tempura fried shrimp, asparagus risotto, grilled New York strip and chocolate cake topped with chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Valentine’s Day Dinner with Mashita at Three Notched Valley Collab House

Time: Feb.13th, 6:30-10:30 p.m.

If the national day of love doesn’t work for you and your loved one’s schedules, this particular Valentine’s Day dinner may work. Mashita, a Korean food truck, will be catering the event, serving their signature lettuce wraps. However, space is limited and reservations are encouraged.
